CONGREGATIONAL CYCLE OF PRAYER
:
October 7: We give thanks for all the members of
the Redeemer community who planned for, paid
for, worked at, and enjoyed the Kids’ Karnival;
and for all the friends and neighbors who came
and partied with us. We pray on this Feast of St
Francis for all animals, especially for those who
are our companions and minister God’s uncon-
ditional love to us.
October 14: We give thanks and pray for the
ministry of the members of the Altar Guild, who
serve our community every Sunday by preparing
the church for worship.
October 21: We give thanks and pray for the
ministry of our musicians, Jay Wayne, John
Westmoreland, Jim Providenza, Mark Moody and
everyone who makes it possible for us to make a
joyful noise on Sunday mornings.
October 28: We give thanks and pray for the
blessing of all those whose lives have ended in
this past year, and whom we remember this
coming All Saints’ Day. May we always remem-
ber the great cloud of witnesses surrounding us,
dancing their joy in the company of angels, and
finding rest and peace in the presence of God.

A Meditation for Today
"Jesus looked at them and said, 'For mortals it is
impossible, but for God all things are possible.'"
~Matthew 19:26
We can cling to the belief that all things are
possible with God. If this belief is truly accepted
it is the ladder upon which a human soul can climb
from the lowest pit of despair to the most sublime
heights of peace of mind.
It is possible for God to
change our way of living. When we see the change
in another person through the grace of God, we
cannot doubt that all things are possible in the
lives of people through the strength that comes
from faith in God who rules us all.
A Prayer for Today
I pray that I may live expectantly. I pray that I
may believe deeply that all things are possible
with God.
