Senior Wardens Report:
Dear Redeemer Family,
I hope you are all enjoying our Indian summer while
it lasts. One last hurrah before the cold and wet sets
in. If you havent yet, check out the beautiful leaves
in our neighborhoods, and go for a walk, it is a great
way to relieve stress before the Holidays to come.
Leaping, lizards, did I say Holidays were coming?
Yikes, so much to do
.so much
guess Ill go take
a walk. Ahhhh.
Now for some business.
If you didnt attend the Calvin and Hobbes service
on the 22nd, than you may not know that on the 12
th
of November we will be having an all church town
hall type meeting. We will be discussing what our
congregational goals are and what Redeemer will
look like in the future. Thanks to all that partici-
pated in the survey, those collective ideas will be our
focus for the day. There will be one service at
10:00, and childcare will be provided.
This is the final couple of months for several B.C.
members, Mark Moody, Rick Scubecz, Liz Chiarolla
and myself. If you have a desire and are a visionary,
(or just like to go to meetings), the Bishops
Committee is the place for you. Think of it as part
of a stewardship pledge, time and talent. It is after
all stewardship pledge time, and thank you, Jay
Luther, for heading up this falls campaign. We will
hear more about this in the coming months.
Lastly, I think it is close to the time that we need to
start thinking about the Christmas Pageant.
Volunteers will be needed, as will the usual cast of
Characters, so mention this to your little ones, and
big ones too so we can get the Christmas ball rolling.
Before all the Holiday craziness starts, I hope
everyone will give God thanks for all that we have,
and for our very special Redeemer community. We
are very blessed.
Peace
Cindy Poulos

CONGREGATIONAL CYCLE OF
PRAYER
November 5
We give thanks for all the people who have gone
before us, whose wisdom, whose sacrifice, whose
work, whose mistakes, whose dreams, whose daring
and whose caring have made our lives possible.
November 12
On this Veterans day weekend, we give thanks for
all who have served our country in peace and in war,
for soldiers, Peace Corps and Americorps
volunteers, and all who have the courage to serve in
the midst of struggle and trouble. We pray for a
stronger and a better world and the ability to fight
our battles with fierce peace and not guns.
November 19
On this commitment Sunday, we give thanks for all
that we have been given and all that we have worked
for. We give thanks for our pledges of time, talent
and treasure which will support Redeemer in the
upcoming year.
November 26
We give thanks for the world in which we live, for
its abundance and generosity, for our gentle climate,
our blue bay, our hills and forests, the meadows
through which we walk, and on this day of Christ the
King, we remember all the people with whom we
share the world and we pray for their happiness.
A Grand Old Tradition Renewed!!!
After a pause of a year, Redeemer and St. Luke
Presbyterian are thankful that we can once again
join together to offer a Family Service of
Thanksgiving. The service of prayer and com-
munion will be held at St. Luke, 10 Bayview
Drive, San Rafael, Wednesday, November 22 at
7 p.m. Come and meet their new Minister, the
Rev. Matt Gough and share the Redeemer spirit
with our neighbors! Matt will host and celebrate
and Rev. Carol will tell of the Lion, the Witch
and the First Thanksgiving
