ALASKA HERE WE COME!
Our high school youth group, along with leaders Elliott Blank and Rev. Carol leave for
Anchorage early in the morning of Sunday, June 18th, returning in the evening of
Wednesday, June 28th. We’ll be at Meier Lake Camp and Conference Center in Wasilla
from the 18th until the 25th. We’ll build a trail to the chapel site, cook meals for campers,
meet pioneers of the church in Alaska and a breeder of Siberian Huskies who has
completed the Iditarod sled dog race. We’ll also visit Anchorage, go wildlife viewing
and maybe take in a rapid or a glacier. We leave for Denali National Park and Preserve
on the 26th and will drive into the park on the 27th to meet caribou, grizzlies, Dall’s sheep,
marmots and wolves. We’ll be out of cell phone range, but you can reach us at Meier
