SENIOR WARDEN’S LETTER
Happy Summer everyone!  I hope that you all
find the time for relaxation and a change of pace
during these next two months. If we are lucky we
have the opportunity to try something new, visit
a new spot, try a new sport, relax reading a new
book, or skip rocks on a lake or the ocean.

I enjoyed attending our "new" 10 am service on
June 17th. There was some familiar stuff (music)
and some new wording in the liturgy which
made me more intentional in the participation. At
first glance it was both familiar and new. I hope
that all of us will have the chance to participate
in the service this summer.

The Pancake Breakfast put on by the  Men of
Redeemer provided the usual enormous
wonderful pancakes and a chance for
parishioners and neighbors to relax with each
other. The crowd seemed a little smaller than
usual, but the enjoyment was high.  Very, very
special thanks to Glenn Godbold and Greg
Poulos who underwrote the expenses of this
event. Many underwriters merely write a check -
but these two purchased food, schlepped
equipment and cleaned up afterwards!  Many
others ably assisted with set up, cooking and
monitoring of the wonderful bounce-slide
combination.  THANKS TO ALL!

The ladies jumped in to maximize the offerings
with a bountiful bake sale.
28
people baked for
this event, Betsy Nakamura and Kim Johnson
staffed the booth and together we brought in just
over $400. THANKS TO ALL!

Don't forget to send a postcard to the church if
you are off traveling - it's a wonderful way for us
all to share in the joy of summer.   And
remember services are at 8am for the early birds
wanting a more contemplative experience and
10am for the rest of us!
