CONGREGATIONAL CYCLE OF PRAYER
July 2: We pray for our nation and all the lives our
nation has touched.
July 9: We pray for all animals, that they may
thrive and live lives of beauty.
July 16: We pray for all outdoors that we may love
the world God has made.
July 23: We pray for all who are hungry in body
and spirit that they may be fed the bread of life.
August 6: On this 51st anniversary of Hiroshima, we
pray that our fears may be transfigured into light
so that we might find the peace and courage in
our hearts that is the foundation of peace in all
the world.
August 13: We pray for our friend Jan Robitscher,
as she retires her faithful guide “Christmas,” and
begins class with a new dog. May her new guide
be to her a blessed gift, helper and friend.
August 20: We pray for our children as they
prepare for another school year.
August 27: We bless our middle school students as
they come together this afternoon for their first
meeting of the year. May they grow in the gifts
that God has given them, and with all their
exuberance and joy may they find the path that
leads to the beginning of wisdom.
September 3: We pray for all our families camping
at Hendy Woods State Park. We pray for the
redwoods that shield them, the rivers that refresh
them and the birds who fill their mornings with
song.
