ITINERARY
Sunday, August
5:
Travel from SFO to Anchorage; lunch at the Moose Tooth Pizzaria; drive to Wasilla, check in
at Meier Lake Camp and Conference Center
Monday, August 6:
Spend the Day at Meier Lake: Some simple energy gifts, canoeing, visit Knik Ghost Town
Tuesday, August 7:
Drive to Denali National Park, visit Murie Nature Center, Park Kennels, walk through spruce
forest, overnight in Denali. It’s about now that the first auroras of the year appear in the night
sky. The intrepid of us will set our alarms for 3 a.m.
Wednesday, August 8:
Half day wildlife tour; free time to kayak, visit kennels, go on nature hikes. Overnight in
Denali.
Thursday, August 9:
Return to Wasilla Anchorage: Visit Native Heritage Center
Friday, August 10:
Seward: Half day glacier cruise
Saturday, August 11:
Sled Dog visit; Hatcher Pass Gold Mine
Sunday, August 12: Worship with our friends at St. David’s, Free time
Monday, August 13: Return to SFO
